Notes on “Yoru”: Recorded around the time-frame of the material on my ‘144 Pulsations Of Light’ CD (Kranky 2009), these pieces came about from a different creative process using samples rather than synthesis. The textures on Yoru were produced from recordings of old LPs of classical and choral music, subsequently processed, stretched, reversed and manipulated “in real-time.”
