

A very busy time, with a lot of excitement. Lots of new music, some new equipment. The big news is that a very cool label picked up my album and will be releasing it on CD later this year! I’m hoping to do some sort of tour once its out, and it will be great to share my music with a wider audience.
Besides the ambient pulse music I’ve been focusing on since last Summer, I have also been working on some new material in the style of mid-late ’90s IDM ala Boards of Canada or Aphex Twin. I decided to have a go at videogame music, as I always enjoyed the mid-90’s Squaresoft RPG’s like Secret of Mana, Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy 3, and their lush soundtracks by Nobuo Uematsu, Yasunori Mitsuda and others. I used four synth channels and a rhythm track, and I think it has a very SNES-like sound to it.
